Dear Isaac,
The moment you were born was so special to me! As they delivered you, you had your umbilical cord wrapped around your neck, so as they laid you on my tummy you were a bit blue, but got a sweet little cry out none-the-less. Soon after they took you over to the warmer to and gave you some oxygen and sucked out some of the amniotic fluid that you had swallowed. Dad and Grandma were right by your side. They weighed you, and put medicine on your eyes and stamped your feet. You were over there probably about 20-30 minutes, and I thought, "Hey- I would like to meet this little guy- when are you going to bring him over?" Then they swaddled you and I held you in my arms for the first time. You were so cute and I loved your dark brown hair. Your eyes were closed, and then I said, "Hello, Isaac. It is so nice to meet you. I'm your mommy." It was amazing. You opened your eyes and looked at me like you had been waiting to hear my voice as soon as you were born. You knew it was me and that I loved you and was going to care for you the rest of your life. It was a special moment that you and I shared that I will never forget as your mother. I love you and can't wait to see you grow and become a grown man some day.....but don't do it too fast.
Love,
Mom
